• Manatee Migration Update - "Right now, we are out capturing, tagging and releasing wild manatees in a whole new unexplored area! It's called Ten Thousand Islands (25.700N, 81.300W) right along the western edge of the Everglades, and we hope to tag 10 manatees here.
  
  
• Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park - This is a manatee website for the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park - A great first-look at the manatee - located at the headwater spring for the Homosassa River, this park features a larger underwater observation float which allows you to see the manatee in their natural habitat. The rest of the park showcases other wildlife normally found in the area. A great day-trip!
  
  
• Crystal River State Wildlife Refuge - Offers deeper water manatee encounter and several interesting springs. The main spring is ~ 50 ft. deep and is open to SCUBA diving.
  
  
• Sirenia Project: Manatee Ecology and Population Biology - The Florida Caribbean Science Centerīs Sirenia Project conducts long-term, detailed studies on the life history, population dynamics, and ecological requirements of the West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus). Sirenia Project biologists work cooperatively with federal and state researchers and managers on research identified as essential for the recovery of the species.
